August 19th, Friday. Exactly two weeks prior to my flight to Korea. This has been what I've been aiming for since 19 months ago and in a matter of days, it's already gonna be on the palm of my hands. I feel a little mixed up - happy, excited, worried and scared. Just a little bit of everything.

Certificate of Admission

The sole purpose of my travel to Korea is to pursue graduate studies. I was admitted to the Graduate School of Pukyong National University in Busan, South Korea under Dr. Gun-Do Kim of the Department of Microbiology. Dr. Kim is going to support my school and living expenses for the whole duration of the program. I am going to receive a monthly stipend of KRW 400,000 from the research fund granted to him, and promised to increase it once I finished Master's degree. It's quite small for a capitalist country like Korea, but to me, it doesn't matter.

Student Visa

Two weeks. I got fourteen days more to prepare. Prepare my things, my travel documents, and myself. I was given one year sojourn in Korea. Only a year of stay, though a combined Master's and PhD program lasts for five years. I can always extend my stay anyway.

Cebu Pacific Air Ticket

Everything's almost ready. Passport, student visa, air ticket. I prepared everything just on time. And now, my self is all that's left to prepare for this fight.
